Choosing photographs for a printed album

A printed album should tell a story in thirty to sixty pictures. That is far fewer than most people expect, and choosing them is the hardest part.

We suggest starting with the photographs you would frame, then adding the small details that connect them: hands, objects, places. Leave out near-duplicates, even good ones.

We always send a draft layout first. Most clients change only a handful of pages, but seeing the whole sequence helps everyone.
